First piggy bank

Me and my hubby can hardly save. We just can't figure out where our earnings go. So I decided to incorporate the idea of saving into my son's mind as early as possible. I saw a nice coin box in one of the Christmas sale counter near my office. I liked the look of the box.Immediately thought it will be a nice way to start savings(for both me and sanjiv). In the evening as soon as I reached home, I gave it to him and he was happy to put coins into it. He liked the noise from the box as he drops the coin into it. I was momentarily happy thinking the mission was accomplished. But within a minute I was in for shock. He proved to be our son. He was immediately trying to take out the coins he had just deposited. I just didn't know how to react !!!!
The cute coin box the makes noise when a coin is dropped into it.




Sanjiv try to lift the box and shake it. This is how he managed to get the coins out.

My dad's 33rd b'day celebration

We celebrated dad's 33rd B'day on 15th Nov 2009 (sorry mom just uploaded the photos).....It was great fun...My grandparents,Saro Granny, Suresh uncle family, Hema and deepa aunty and Satish uncle were the guest at BBQ b'day party....It was a surprise party for dad...My mom planned it along with Hema aunty.....Everyone had great fun at the party...Mom played the great host...I also entertained everyone.....Last but the most important part, Cake was yummy...i just couldn't wait to put my hands on it.......With Luv, Sanjiv

Vaccination

I don't like to take him for vaccination. I ensure that my hubby also comes to clinic. I usually step out of doctor's room at the time of injection. It is very difiicult to see something hurting ur baby even if u know it is for his good health only.

How to capture every moment ?

Can anyone tell me how to capture every single moment of my son's growing up years.....I find anything he does to be very fascinating...I take lots of photo and video but still get the feeling that i haven't captured everything......

His smile is very dangerous one......it can melt anybody's heart....the best is his naughty smile/laugh.....when I see that smile, i know he is unto something which any grown up will disagree......

He has learnt to say "uuusssshhhhhh" when someone says 'No' to him, 'Bee' for biscuit, Feesh for'Fish', Li for Light.......

He has learned to jump up and down...roll in the floor.....run to hide when he has put paper into his mouth, enjoying playing with facial tissue and then eat them as well....

play hide and seek behind curtains......When anyone goes on their knees, immediately he runs to them for a ride on their back.......

How do i capture all this ?.....

Not just another day

The day didn't start as expected.It is one of those days where I feel very bad coming to work. My hubby is on Business trip to Manila and Sanjiv have started missing him...So, today he was in no mood to see me off to office....When I sense this feeling, I feel very guilty about leaving him at home for whole day. Just managed to put aside my guilty feeling and diverted his attention to a balloon and left for office....End of the whole drama, I came to office late than usual....

Sanjiv's day out in Zoo

We had a family outing to zoo.This was first Zoo visit for Sanjiv. He enjoyed running around here and there but didn't enjoy seeing animals.....He was happy chasing the birds which he usually does that in our apartment complex...There was one peacock that was roaming freely(not caged).....He almost made the peacock fly by chasing it around non-stop....I had to save the peacock from him .....the only caged animal he saw was elephant(Real Indian)...Next trip to Zoo,we will definitely take him for an elephant ride.......Will post the pics soon...

Sanjiv's 2nd Karthigai celebration

Yesterday was Karthigai deepam festival. In South India, we celebrate Karthigai festival by lighting oil lamps. For more details, see Wiki. As we are in Singapore, we used candle light instead of oil lamps. For Sanjiv it is second karthigai celebration. He had loads of fun. He likes any form light. Lots of candles were lighted across entire house.He was glowing more than those candle . He was dressed smartly in Indian Wear. Picture will say more than I can write...Have a look by urself....
