Today I am working from home. Sanjiv came to play with the laptop. I told him it is my office laptop and he is not supposed to play with it. Immediately he asked me "where is my office". Actually he was asking for his toy laptop. It is one of his long forgotten toy. I had put down my laptop and went to search his. After 15 min, I managed to find. Then put battery, and finally he was able to use it.
Now I am sitting with mine and he with his.....Happy working on last day of year 2010.......

3 more days to go
Wondering what is going to happen in 3 days, my son will be taking first step into another long journey. Jan 3rd 2011 will be his first day into pre-school. Now, so many thoughts are running in my mind.
Being Alone
First and foremost important question is how will he manage alone without me/hubby/grandparents/helper around.
Language
Even tough he can understand English conversation well, he will respond in Tamil only as at home I have encouraged him to talk only in Tamil. So, now the question is how will he communicate in school. will he manage to those initial few days ? I know that he can pick up pretty fast still there will be few days where he will have trouble communicating in English.
Food
Then comes another big problem, FOOD. This is one main reason I am sending him to school early. How will he eat on his own and that too fully solid food. At home he still manages to get semi-solid food.
Interaction
Till date his interaction with adults are major than with kids. He doesn't know how to play with his age group. He is used to being surrounded by adults who treat him like king.It will be hard on him to interact with kids who are also used to being treated as kings...how will few lions exist in same den ???????
Positive thoughts
He is early raiser. So there should not be a problem to send him to school early .
He will have new place to explorer which can keep him busy.
If he really enjoys going to school then I can put him for full day.......

New Zealand Vacation
This is an over due post. We went for NZ vacation sometime in early Dec. It was such a fun and relaxing trip. I would fully contribute the success of this trip to Sanju. He was such a darling in this trip. When I make this statement, I feel little guilty because he hardly ate properly and I wasn't even trying to make him eat. I let him survie on milk, biscut, chocolate and ice cream. Once in a while he had a piece of toast or few spoons of fried rice. I am sure by end of the trip he would have lost atleast 2 kg (I could have gained 2 Kg, vacation time you know).
We used wake up very late and then start roaming around till late in the night. When I say roam around, I didn't mean that we were in a no hurry to see places or go for show.We used to just drive around with no particular destination to reach.
I think we went to NZ exactly at the right age of Sanjiv. Now, he loves to see Cow, sheep. horse, deer or any other animal and that too only from a distance. And that is what NZ is all about.Anywhere you go, you get to see a scenic view of hills and land full of greenery, wonderful weather and animals grazing lazily that too just behind the picket fence. During the drive he will be just looking out to discover the cows or sheep's or horses. And he will even play guess game of what he will see next. Then we stop by so that he can get a closer look.
Then he had end less land around the beautiful lakes of Rotorua, NZ, to run around. I was not worried that he will fall while chasing the ducks on those endless land as it was fully covered with green grass. It would protect him from any fall. He even plucked flowers for me (though I expected it from my hubby).
He loved the ice creams at odd hours even when grown ups were wearing jackets to protect them chilly weather.
Just to say it one line - I don't mind having many more trips like this......It was the most memorable trip for me.
Last but not the least he was the most well behaved boy during the 10 hours of flight.

To office
Today morning once he was fully awake, his said to me 'Amma office, Appa office, sanu office'. I told him that babies don't go to office they go to school. But he insisted that he will go to office that too sitting in baby seat in appa's car. It was so cute to hear him say that..Commuting to office in baby seat....

Rain
It has been raining in Singapore for past few days. That too heavily in the evening. So couldn't take Sanju for his evening walk. Yesterday evening he was too upset that it was raining again and I couldn't take him for walk.So he insisted that we down and just check if it was really raining( looks like he didn't want to believe me).We went down and the foyer in front of the life is about 6 feet. He was so happy just to be outside. He made me wait there for around 20 min and he was having gala time for that 20 min. He tried to go out in the rain..When few drops falls on him he comes back running and then again he tries to go out..He made it look as if it is the best game in the world and he was expert in that. He was enjoying that 6 feet space and few rain drops at the end of the covered foyer. I was standing there and wondering why is that I dont enjoy rain or simple things in life any more. Maybe I should also go back to childhood along with my son.
