Friday I had taken off from work to run some errands...I was home before Sanjiv came back from school...
It was 6pm & we decided to go to park. Surprisingly it was a breezy day. He was on his cycle and I planned to jog. He had taken his Frisbee and skipping rope.
We played for sometime and as it got darker, I told him it was time to go back. Suddenly he was like,
mom lets sit down in the grass and enjoy some cool breeze and talk...Hmmmmm....
Sanjiv: ' Mom what do you like'
Me: ' I like to walk in the beach'
Sanjiv: ' Me too'...When you were young did u play in the grass...
ME: Yes of course, I also lie down and try to count stars...
Sanjiv 'Mom, you are silly, how can you count stars'
OMG, is my child grown already.....
Me: ' Yeah it was so much fun'
Sanjiv: 'By the time you finished counting, you could have slept'
Me: 'Yes'
Sanjiv: 'heeeeeeeeeee then what else'
Me: I used to connect the stars and make shapes...
Sanjiv :' Me too'
Me: 'Do you want to know what mom dreams of you, I dream you become a doctor'
Sanjiv: 'I want to be scientist...Mom whats your dream'
Me: 'I dream of you to be scientist'...
Sanjiv: 'See we both dream the same. So has your dream come true'.
So soon ?....
Me: ' Have you become a scientist ???'
Sanjiv: 'I am sad...you say I am not a scientist yet...I make portion in school'....
Thanks God, he is still the little kid....Not grown yet...
Me: ' Then mom has gone a step closer to my dream. If you listen to Ms.Sandra then my dream will come true one day'
Sanjiv : 'Ok mama'
And we talked more all the way back...As we entered the house, he said 'Mom, today I had very good time..Maybe we should do it more often'....
Yes, definitely I will do this more with him.
